WBLI Programs and Opportunities
Workshops: Interactive, skill-building sessions where students explore leadership topics such as identity, resilience, confidence, followership, and visioning. These experiences connect leadership theory with practice and provide space for reflection, discussion, and action.
Cohort Programs: Longer Term, small group experiences that deepen leadership development through sustained practice and peer learning. Current cohort programs include:• Coach2Mentor (C2M) – Developing mentoring and coaching skills through guided practice.• Self-Leadership – Building awareness, reflection, and agency in one’s personal leadership journey. • Group Coaching – A facilitated coaching experience that blends peer learning, accountability, and applied growth.
Leadership Events (e.g., WBLE): Large-scale, high-impact gatherings such as the Warren Bennis Leadership Experience (WBLE) and other signature events. These bring together students, faculty, alumni, and community leaders to inspire, network, and connect leadership learning to real-world challenges.
WBLI Student Leadership Positions: Opportunities for students to take on leadership roles within the Institute. These positions allow students to apply their leadership skills in practice, contribute to WBLI’s mission, and help shape programs and events for their peers. The three primary student leadership groups include:
Ambassadors – Student leaders representing WBLI across campus, fostering engagement and community.
WBLE Student Team – Supporting the planning and execution of the Warren Bennis Leadership Experience and WBLI Alumni Relations.
Leadership Research Lab – Engaging in leadership-focused research projects with faculty and peers.
